Golfing on the Suloide
Golfing on the Suloide

On March 26, 1943, the 338-foot long Suloide was transporting metal ore to NY.

As she was traveling along the coastline, the ship collided with the W.E.

Hutton, that had previously been sunk by U-boats a year earlier.

Suloide sank in 65 feet of water.

The wreck is very broken apart and scattered throughout the sand.

Aquatic life found here includes spadefish, sheepshead, flounder and sea bass.
