With the explosion of innovations in communications and travel over the last 70 years, people became bewitched by both the promises of science and technology in films and also the psychological and emotional “Escape” they provided.
Prosperity and technology both pushed people away from God toward preoccupation with other gods, and in particular the gods portrayed in Science Fiction.
In this video I want to look at the movie franchise Men in Black and in particular Men in Black II.
In this world the saying is true, “The truth is in the movies and the Lies are in the NEWS” and there is a lot we can learn IF we apply “Critical” analysis to what Hollywood is producing and selling to us as “entertainment.” Men In Black II serves as just one example out of many recent films that have successfully entrenched FICTIONAL ideas that many people now consider “Imminent” or REAL!
The mix of the spiritual and the technical is particularly POTENT!
