Health Secretary Sajid Javid leaves no doubt over the seriousness of the situation in Ukraine, saying "Europeans are waking up to a very dark day" after Russian troops move into the Donbas region of the country.
He calls this a "flagrant violation" of international law and explains sanctions will be applied by the UK and their allies.
