Kindred Friendship
Kindred Friendship

Our DNA, the way God designed us, we have this incredible giving nature where we love to encourage, add value and care for one another.

We were created in God’s Image, this is something we can’t escape having, it is in us, this ability to love others well.

We have a “kindred” spirit with one another and that was seeded deep within our inner spiritual core by our loving God’s character.

We love being close to one another, we love having an ally, our hearts are full when we are associated with others closely.

Kindred is finding togetherness in a way that brings out a similarity of thought, actions and emotions.

Besties, best friends, heart to heart friendship.

We were created to be in “kindred” friendship with God and each other, and without that, it makes life feel dull, without purpose and very lonely.

When we get in a life-rut where we don’t feel we have any purpose, it is usually because we have isolated our hearts from others.

God is amazing at making “kindred” friendships for us.

Usually, when we are openhearted to God, He will lead us to friendships with people that are so fulfilling.

So, a good friendship that you enjoy, a “kindred friendship” is such a wonderful thing.

We need to work hard in this cultural chaos, a society where we have so much distraction, and it deters us from investing ourselves in the friendships God has given us.

When we have friends, the greatest gift we can give them is time, and when we are with them, actually being “present” with them, not distracted by our life and just “doing a duty”, but genuinely investing in their lives, being interested in them and loving them well in that heart-to-heart God way.

It is so sweet, this life, when we take those special moments and spend time together with people and love them well.

It is so easy to get caught up in so much “good busyness” that we forget about maintaining our relationship with God and others.

In a world with so much frenzy and harried activity, and being part of a soul parched society, we need God, and we need people to stay encouraged and refreshed in our soul.

Heart to Heart, make sure we don’t drift away in the cultural tide of busy, isolated and surface living.

Let’s be deep hearted friends.

Let’s be people who are genuinely interested in other people, who are opening up our lives and sharing our hearts with them, and caring for people outside of our comfort zone.

This is living in Christ Jesus.

Be So.

Heart To Heart.
