Video uploaded on Friday (March 4) showed a young Indian man pleading for help from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian government, surrounded by a crowd of Indian students gathered in what was said to be Sumy, Ukraine.
Around 700 Indian students have been unable to leave Sumy, Ukraine after Russian troops invaded the country, foreign ministry spokesman Arindam Bagchi told reporters.
