The Indian SARS-CoV-2 Genomics Consortium (INSACOG) confirmed on Sunday that the first cases of Omicron's sub-variants BA.4 and BA.5 of the coronavirus have been detected in the country.
The first case was reported in Tamil Nadu and the other cases have been detected in Telangana.
