The benchmark Sensex in India fell 1404 points on Monday, owing to a selloff in global stocks, which resulted in a loss of about Rs 6 lakh crore in the aggregate worth of listed businesses.
The 30-stock S&P BSE Sensex fell 1404.39 points, or 2.59 percent, to 52,899.05 points at 12:29 p.m., down from 54,303.44 points the day before.
