Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency due to monkeypox, an action he claims will boost California’s efforts to secure vaccines and manage the "outbreak".
California is the second state to make an emergency declaration because of the disease after New York, which took yet another step in draconian policies over the weekend.
Local emergencies were declared by the cities of New York and San Francisco.
This appears to be yet another step in thwarting our democracy while implementing Orwellian rules of law.
