Deadly fires spread in California amid triple-digit heat

Wildfires continue to ravage California as the state suffers through a long heatwave.

The deadly Fairview fire grew to more than 11 square miles (28 square kilometers) near the city of Hemet, sending thick smoke billowing from the mountains.
