The Waste to Art Expo is an extension of the City of Cape Town’s ‘Let’s Act’ clean-up campaign, a reminder to citizens to reduce, reuse and recycle wherever possible.
As part of the Festive lights Switch-On event that attracts more than 80 000 people into the City centre each year, this message is an important one to convey – not just for the day, but every day.
Four schools were selected by the City of Cape Town, to participate in the project which has produced some wondrous, imaginative and thought-provoking works of art created by Grade 6 and 7 students.
