At a news conference in Vancouver, federal ministers announce the details of Canada’s newly unveiled Indo-Pacific strategy.
The strategy establishes a framework for Canada's engagement with the Indo-Pacific region, with a focus on five key themes: defence and security, trade, citizenship and international development, climate, and diplomacy.
Taking part in the announcement are ministers Mélanie Joly (foreign affairs), Mary Ng (international trade), Harjit Sajjan (international development and responsibility for the Pacific Economic Development Agency of Canada), and Marco Mendicino (public safety).
