Representing India at the main table of the powerful UN Security Council would be Ruchira Kamboj.
India’s first female Permanent Representative to the UN.

In 1953, Vijaya Lakshmi Pandit became the first woman President of the General Assembly….and now Ruchira Kamboj has become the first Indian woman to be the President of the Security Council.
