In a video featuring Rep Troy Nehls, he addresses concerns regarding the water and air quality in East Palestine, Ohio.
He had meetings with Norfolk Southern and spoke with E.P.A officials and the mayor to discuss issues faced by the 4800 residents of the town.
According to Nehls, the air quality is currently fine and the drinking water in the municipality is safe to drink.
The town has a water treatment facility and the water has been tested, with no issues found with the public water in the city.
Nehls even goes so far as to drink the water from a tap in front of a café to demonstrate its safety.
He notes that those with private wells are recommended to drink bottled water while their wells are being tested, but for those using the public water system in the city of East Palestine, the water is safe to drink.
