Judge Amanda Yip KC sentences Thomas Cashman at Manchester Crown court to 42 years for the murder of Olivia Pratt-Korbel.
She says the defendant has not "acknowledged his responsibility for Olivia's death and so has demonstrated no remorse".
Mrs Justice Yip goes on to say that Cashman being taken away from his children is "a loss for him" but "a loss he is wholly responsible for".
