More Bunker Punks gameplay frantic action and there's one aspect of the game that I never really delved too deep into, and that was the melee aspect of the game.
I pretty much figured with a game like this where, if you get stuck in close range for too long, you get hosed, it would be a bust.
For the first time though I pick up a baseball bat and try to give it a go, and HOLY crap melee is strong.
First, the melee swing damages what looks like a 120 degree arc in front of the player.
It also knocks back anything it hits, I've found it'll even knock TURRETS and cause them to slide along the ground.
Not just that though, I think I may have figured something out about how the drop system works in the game.
If you are at full ammo, the game doesn't appear to drop ammo, knowing that it would just be wasted.
If you're at full health also, the game won't drop health, knowing that you're at full health.
That means there's only two other things to drop, credits and tech, and man, you can REALLY rake up some tech fast if you stay at full health, don't use your backup gun so you don't need any ammo, and just keep whacking stuff to death with a melee weapon.
I think melee is my new love, at least for getting all sorts of things unlocked.
Let's take the bat to the faces of these suckers in the second half of this let's play and punk some bunkers!
