After 755 years since its establishment, the position of Lord Chief Justice in Britain is poised to be filled by a woman for the first time.
The final two candidates vying to lead the judiciary in England and Wales are Dame Sue Carr, a 58-year-old appeal court judge, and Dame Victoria Sharp, a 67-year-old senior high court judge.
