Funeral home director Wilson Chavis, also known as Wes Chavis III, is facing murder charges after shooting and killing a pallbearer during 10-year-old Arianna Davis’ burial.
Chavis was overseeing the funeral of the girl killed on Mother’s Day during a drive-by shooting when police said an argument broke out over a long-running business dispute with a rival funeral home.
Chavis was once touted as a pillar of Prince George County, and is known locally for performing funerals for high-profile homicides, including that of 8-year-old PJ Evans.
