US Coast Guard is carrying out a massive search and rescue operation for the missing Titanic tourist submersible Titan that is overdue since Sunday afternoon.
A British adventurer is believed to be among those aboard this missing submarine.
Hamish Harding, 58, is understood to be aboard the five-person Ocean Gate Expeditions vessel, which has been reported missing since Sunday from about 435 miles south of St John’s, Newfoundland.
Harding is the chair of the private plane firm Action Aviation.
He has a wife named Linda and has two sons named Rory and Giles as well as a stepdaughter named Lauren and a stepson, Brian.
As a student, Hamish left Cambridge with a degree in natural sciences and chemical engineering.
He is an aviator, holding an airline transport pilot’s license and business jet type ratings, including the Gulfstream G650.
