Man Who Threw Phone at Bebe Rexha , Thought ‘It Would Be Funny’.
Nicolas Malvagna allegedly threw a phone at the singer on June 18 while she was performing in Lower Manhattan, NBC News reports.

It hit her in the eye, and she collapsed to the ground.
According to an unnamed witness, Malvagna allegedly told police, "I was trying to see if I could hit her with the phone at the end of the show because it would be funny.".
But during his arraignment on June 19, Malvagna pleaded not guilty.

As a fan, Mr. Malvagna’s sole intention was to have Ms. Rexha take photos with his phone, and return it as a keepsake.
It was never his intention to injure Ms. Rehxa, Todd Spodek, Malvagna's attorney, via statement.
According to the criminal complaint, Rexha has suffered "redness, swelling, brusing and a laceration to her eye and substantial pain.".
