The death toll from a Russian strike that hit civilian areas of Kramatorsk in east Ukraine climbed to eight, the Ukrainian State Emergency Service (SES) said early on Wednesday, June 28.
Among those killed were two teenagers under 18, the SES said.
A further 56 people, including an infant, were injured, the service said.
The SES said rescuers remained at the site, which saw a cafe destroyed and several nearby buildings heavily damaged.
Footage released by the National Police of Ukraine late on Tuesday showed officers and other emergency services attending the scene.
A person is seen being lifted from the rubble.
