Ellie Edwards' dad hopes gunman 'never sees Christmas'

The gunman who murdered Ellie Edwards outside a Merseyside pub on Christmas Eve appeared in court and was told he'd spend a minimum of 48 years behind bars.

Speaking after the sentencing, her father Tim Edwards said he hoped 22-year-old Connor Chapman "never sees Christmas again".
