Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said he supported President Joe Biden’s decision to provide Ukraine with cluster munitions during an address on the chamber floor Tuesday.
“However overdue, these munitions will both improve Ukraine's capability to strike Russian forces and compensate for shortfalls in standard artillery rounds,” said Sen.
McConnell.
Cluster munitions are globally controversial explosives that scatter hundreds of bomblets across large areas when fired.
