The schools minister says GCSE examiners will take the disruption Covid had on schools into account when setting grade boundaries.
Nick Gibb adds there are "high proportions" of good and outstanding schools across the country, as the government aims to "level up" the quality of education and "close the gap" between children from disadvantaged backgrounds and their more advantaged peers.
