NASA's SpaceX Crew-6 mission, launched in March 2023, is now concluding with a planned return to Earth in early September 2023.
The diverse crew, including NASA astronauts Stephen Bowen and Woody Hoburg, UAE astronaut Sultan Alneyadi, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev, conducted scientific investigations and technology demonstrations on the ISS.
This included a student robotic challenge, plant genetic studies, and monitoring human health in microgravity.
They also released Saskatchewan's first satellite, testing a radiation detection and protection system based on melanin.
The mission exemplifies international collaboration, pushing the boundaries of space exploration for the benefit of both science and life on Earth.
