Huge flash floods devastated eastern regions of Libya on the evening of September 10, with a surge of muddy river water ripping away entire neighbourhoods in one coastal city.
In the eastern town of Derna, heavy rains caused raging torrents in a river.
The death toll from the floods stands at 2,300 people and 10,000 people are believed to be missing.
But the Red Cross warned these numbers could soar dramatically as search and rescue operations continue.
