North Korean leader Kim Jong Un got a chance to inspect Russian advances in fighter jet technology during his visit to Russia’s Far East on Tuesday.
Kim met Russian President Vladimir Putin and was given a tour of the various facilities in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, including the Yuri Gagarin Aviation Plant, and the Yakovlev plant, both facilities are part of the United Aircraft Corporation.
Kim was able to see the Su-35 and Su-57 fighters in production and watch a demonstration flight of the Su-35.
He also was able to watch the construction of the Sukhoi Superjet 100, a civilian aircraft.
Kim was accompanied on the tour by Russian Prime Minister Denis Manturov, and regional Governor Mikhail Degtyaryov.
