Canada’s accusation of India’s involvement in killing of Khalistani terrorist Nijjar came as a big blow to diplomatic ties between both nations.
India and Canada have expelled each other’s Top Diplomats from their respective countries.
The US, United Kingdom, and Australia have expressed their concerns over the ‘serious allegation’ against India.
Australian PM Anthony Albanese expressed concern and held a discussion with his Canadian Counterpart.
Earlier, Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong said that the island continent is ‘monitoring the developments with their partners’.
In the Canadian Parliament, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused India of being behind the killing of Khalistani leader Nijjar.
Notably, Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar was shot dead outside a Gurudwara in Canada’s Surrey in June 2023.
He was one of India’s most-wanted terrorists carrying a cash bounty of Rs 10 lakh on his head.
