After a seven-year journey to asteroid Bennu and back, the OSIRIS-REx sample return capsule landed in the Utah desert at the Utah Training and Testing Range on Sunday, September 24.
Its journey did not end there.
Bright and early Monday, September 25, the sample capsule hitched a ride in a C-17 aircraft to Houston.
After landing at the Ellington airfield, the sample was driven to a facility at NASA’s Johnson Space Center.
