Gary Moore believes that the heart and soul of the City of Franklin, TN is slowly being lost.
This is why he is running for Alderman at large.
Born and raised as a young farmer and sharecropper, he was growing crops, livestock, vegetables, and hay at age nine in College Grove.
He attended College Grove High School and graduated in 1974, then attended and graduated from MTSU in 1979 with a BS in Agriculture-Plant and Soil Science.
Obtained employment with USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service immediately after college and finished a 37-year career in 2013.
He led farm conservation policy and funding for all landowners in seven counties across Tennessee.
Gary has been employed with the Tennessee Department of Agriculture for the last five years as a plant inspector, with retirement to be announced in January 2024.
His wife Martha had a 38-year career as a surgical registered nurse and four years as a hospice nurse, retiring from Aveanna Hospice of Franklin in 2021.
They lead a World Outreach Church small group Bible study in their home.
