Ricardo dos Santos says that “nothing much” has changed in policing in London since the murder of Stephen Lawrence in 1993.
Two officers were sacked for gross misconduct over their stop and search of Dos Santos and his partner Bianca Williams. Discussing the culture of policing, the sprinter said that change needs to happen “from the inside out” saying: “The people in power need to acknowledge when they have done wrong.” Report by Covellm.
