Many people know a little bit about the pagan origins of Halloween.
Ancient Druids in Great Britain celebrated a holiday called Samhain as a fall harvest festival with some dark practices such as sacrifices to ward off evil spirits believing October to be the month where the spirits of the dead and the living were the closest.
The Catholic Church put their spin on this practice designating Oct 31 as All Hallows Eve and Nov 1st as All Saints Day.
There are many twists and turns to get to trick-or-treaters, carved pumpkins, and haunted houses.
So how did we get here?
Present-day witches see Halloween as their high holy day.
No one can deny that evil is celebrated around Oct 31st with witches, skeletons, and death in everyone's front yard.
It's time we take the month of October back and celebrate the goodness of God, the harvest, the changing of seasons and bring LIFE and LOVE instead of death and gore.
