Louisiana Representative Mike Johnson has been elected the 56th Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Johnson, who received the unanimous backing of the Republican conference, is a strong conservative.
He’s definitely a significant improvement over Kevin McCarthy.
And there are very promising signs that he’ll be a great Speaker, capable of securing significant victories for the conservative cause.
Perhaps the most promising sign is that the Democrats are apoplectic, calling Johnson an election denier and an extreme conservative.
That sounds pretty good to me.
