The UK government has announced that the planned increase in the minimum annual salary threshold for British citizens and permanent residents to sponsor a spouse or partner on a Family Visa will be implemented gradually in incremental stages.
Instead of an immediate rise to £38,700, the first threshold increase to £29,000 will be enforced in early 2024, with the higher end of the adjustment expected by early 2025, as stated by British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak during his visit to Lincoln in eastern England on Friday.
