The Supreme Court has served a notice to the Lok Sabha secretary general in response to a petition by Trinamool leader Mahua Moitra challenging her expulsion from the House last month.
The court has instructed the official to submit a reply within a three-week period.
Despite this, the court has declined to grant permission for her participation in Lok Sabha proceedings.
