The densely populated Mira Road suburbs, home to a diverse community, are situated along the Western Railway line in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).
Falling under Thane district and the jurisdiction of the Mira-Bhayander Vasai-Virar (MBVV) Police Commissionerate, Mira Road witnessed communal flare-ups on Sunday and Monday evenings, leading to the arrest of 13 individuals.
