February 3, 2023, at 8:55 p.m., 38 cars of a Norfolk Southern freight train carrying hazardous materials derailed in East Palestine, Ohio, United States.
The governor of Ohio, Mike Dewine, authorized the burning of a mixture of chemicals sending toxic fumes into the air, and polluting the soil and ground in the surrounding area.
A hazardous waste incendiary company, Ross Environmental Services Inc., was contracted to burn suspected polluted soil.
However, concerned citizens of Eaton Township, Ohio (where Ross is located) soon discovered that Ross was planning a major expansion and monofill on 2 parcels of land.
One, shockingly, is currently zoned as residential, just 3 miles from homes.
These citizens have launched a major campaign to stop the rezoning of this land that was approved by township trustees.
This is an update to their alarming findings.
