Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and his close associate Shah Mahmood Qureshi have reportedly been sentenced to 10 years in prison in the cipher case, as per Pakistani media reports.
The verdict was delivered by Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqernain of the Official Secrets Act special court, who conducted the proceedings at the Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.
The cipher case involved charges against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief and his aide, indicted by the special court established under the Official Secrets Act 2023.
This development came after the Islamabad High Court (IHC) declared their previous jail trial null and void.
