The Great Artesian Basin is the world largest underground fresh water aquifer.
It is ours.
From the tip of Cape York in the north to Brisbane - then down to south of Dubbo.
It stretches WEST thru Bourke, just north of Wilcannia & to WAY WEST AND SOUTH of Coober Pedy before looping back up toward Alice Springs then heading north east again through western QLD and up onto the Gulf Country.
Its multiple Kms Deep ...and within weeks a Swiss owned Mining company called Glencore are going to pump 300,000 TONES of something that was never meant to go into a water aquifer ...into it.
