The nine justices ruled unanimously that Colorado, Maine, and Illinois could not legally remove his name from their respective state ballots.
Democrats have been waging lawfare against the embattled former president by filing challenges to his fitness to run for another term, to civil lawsuits over his business affairs, and criminal indictments regarding his handling of classified documents and his questioning of the 2020 presidential voting results.
Today’s Supreme Court victory ended any hopes the Democrats had of blocking Mr. Trump from state ballots in 2020.
