Leonid Volkov, a close ally of former Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny, was attacked outside his house in Vilnius, Lithuania.
Navalny's spokesperson, Kira Yarmysh, said in a post on 'X' that "someone broke a car window and sprayed tear gas in his eyes, after which the attacker started hitting Leonid with a hammer." Volkov is one of Russia’s most prominent opposition figures and was Navalny’s former chief of staff and, until recently, chair of his Anti-Corruption Foundation.
