My name is Mary, 22, and I am a registered behavioral technician living in the Atlanta area.
I first became familiar with DFCS around 8 or 9 years old but didn’t experience foster care until I was 13.
From ages 13-16, I was in a group home until I was adopted but didn’t escape DFCS until my 17th birthday, when my adoption was finalized.
I went to Georgia Southwestern State University after graduating high school and went on to get my license in ABA therapy at 21 which is what I do for a living and plan on returning to school in the future to become a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst.
