The name "tulip" is thought to be derived from a Persian word meaning ‘turban’.

Its emergence in Spring - the end of the Spiritual Path - give the tulip its principle symbolic meaning.

And the upturned bowl has the same significance as the cups, bowls and chalices described in our video of Rivers, Streams and the Holy Grail.
