Rishi Sunak was asked during a Q and A at Niftylift, a cherry picker manufacturer near Milton Keynes, how he could be trusted after his mother died during the pandemic as parties were held at Downing Street.
The prime minister expressed his sorrow for his loss and apologised about his fine but said he only got fined because he "turned up early" while "working on things to help you and your business".
