Missouri's primary is on August 6th.
Primaries are a bit precarious in Missouri because people do not register for a party when registering to vote.
This opens the door for Democrats to easily partake in Republican primaries to help select the "Republicans" running for state office against the Democrats.
Democrats really like Mike Kehoe (R) and Lincoln Hough (R) and will most likely show up at the primaries to vote for them.
That's because Kehoe and Hough (running for Governor and Lt.
Governor respectively) are of the invasive species called RINOs (Republican In Name Only).
