On June 14, the armed military wing of Hamas, al-Qassam Brigades, declared that an Israeli bombardment on Rafah a few days earlier had killed two Israeli hostages in Gaza.
"Your government (the Israeli government) only wants to recover the hostages in coffins," Hamas said in a Telegram video.
However, neither the Israeli military nor the hostages' families have confirmed Hamas' claim about the captives.
