I did this on May 17, 2024.
Approximately 1.5 Miles North of Panther Creek Campground, on the East side of the Road, is somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 - 7 FREE Dispersed Campsites on or near the Shoreline of Panther Creek!
I didn't get an exact count and there may be more!
This video highlights two of the very best ones, on each side of Panther Creek near a bridge.
These would be a great GROUP play, if you could get BOTH of them you'd have the entire area!
Also worth mentioning that Mouse Creek is about 0.7 Miles to the North of this location and has a great bridge overlook area as well.
