In Nairobi, Kenya, up to eight people have been killed as protesters have stormed the parliament.
They are protesting tax hikes imposed by the government at the behest of the IMF as conditions for loans.

MPs have locked themselves away from the protesters who passed a controversial bill (ready to be enacted into law) to increase taxes on the already cash-strapped citizens of Kenya.
The country is rich in resources (gold, iron, steel, titanium, gemstones, water, and wildlife) and is a member of the British Commonwealth.
