Highclere Castle Victorian Toro Cigar Review - This 6x52 stick features a dark chocolate fine toothed, dense, firmly packed wrapper with a gritty texture, large double cap and faint hay aroma.
First light reveals a very good draw with a heavy earth dominating with a building heat through the long finish.
The first third adds a dark burned caramel with a touch of sweetness, a light cashew nuttiness and the finish edging towards cayenne as the spice is joined by the sweet of the caramel note.
The 1/2 way point comes at 40 minutes with notes unchanged and a touch of strength creeping in.
Ending at 1:15 the last third drops the caramel, back to a big deep earth, with just a hint of spice on the finish and a big strength ramp up, matching the body, to my limit.
