Oliver Dowden said there is a threat to the General Election from hostile actors such as Russia seeking to influence the democratic process.
It comes after he told the Sunday Times he was “gravely” concerned about claims from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) that it had uncovered a suspected operation encouraging support for Nigel Farage’s Reform UK party, after monitoring five co-ordinated Facebook pages.
