Wednesday, our resident election researcher and geologist-by-trade, will talk to us about a very interesting company in Oklahoma called Westwin Elements - the only nickel and cobalt refinery in the US to be built in Lawton.
These elements are important in battery manufacturing.
The City of Lawton is paying 24 million taxpayer dollars to assist in the building of a company that will only employ about 85 people, yet our Lieutenant Governor says this facility will put Lawton on the map with Tulsa and OKC.
